Arco Arco Asburgica is coming back in September

 

From September 2 to 9, 2023, Arco Asburgica is back, a historical reenactment that, for several days in the month of September, tell the story of Arco’s traditions, customs and traditions.

The event takes place, as always, in the town of Arco, a few kilometers from Tenno, where Archduke Albert of Habsburg, cousin of Emperor Franz Joseph, lived. Arco actually experienced a great development thanks to the presence of the Archduke, who, enchanted by the landscape and the pleasant climate, elected it as his winter home. Here one can in fact admire the splendid villa with adjacent majestic park.

Even today those glories are celebrated with figures dressed in period clothing. If you are curious to find out what life was like in Arco at the end of the 19th century, don’t miss this event.

 

Arco Asburgica begins with a meeting between the local authorities of the time, Archduke Albert and Empress Sissi of Austria. Then, after passing through the historic village, the performers will make a stop at the ‘Stranfor’ wash house and then to continue throughout the day, including concerts, aperitifs and a grand finale gala.

In addition, you will be able to admire old farm machinery and discover local handicrafts, made of wrought iron, during the Habsburg Arch days.
